simple mark making on a grid to soothe your nervous system and experience calm

Make Your Mark and Soothe Your Spirit

Mark making is one of the oldest forms of communication and artistic practices. Dating back to the stone age, and transcending time. It is a powerful means of self-expression, expressing our emotions, identity and creative expression.

your Mark making is as unique as you!

You can Begin simply, by making your marks on a sheet of mixed media or watercolor paper, in grid format and with a mechanical or charcoal pencil, a #4 round water color brush and a bit of water.

Inhale, then exhale relaxing your body and your nervous system, then simply allow your hand to move randomly across the paper intuitively, without judgment. As you are doing this, you are accessing material from the unconscious mind, without conscious thought.

gently go over your marks with a wet a paintbrush. You’ll notice how the water activates the charcoal and allows it to flow.
